Oasis of Hope Legal Trauma Center

Our Mission

An essential feature of any democracy is the presence of civil society groups that function as a safety net for the most vulnerable members of the community. Trauma stemming from adverse experiences is a significant burden on recent immigrants and, by extension, their American family members. At Oasis of Hope, we further access to therapeutic help, law enforcement, and immigration pathways.

Oasis of Hope Legal Trauma Center helps eligible non-citizens in the Washington metropolitan prepare testimonies for USCIS asylum interviews and/or in immigration or family court hearings. Those who appear to have suffered Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) or who experiences trauma-induced mental afflictions will have the option to connect with a licensed psychotherapist for free. No referral fee is charged from the professionals involved.
